Breathe Easy Tea
I love tea!
This tea from Traditional Medicinals is wonderful during these chilly, winter months.
It smells delicious and tastes great even with no added sweeteners.
I moved back from Haiti to the States last month so some of the cold weather has been a little “shocking” to my system.
During the holiday season I noticed I was having some tightness in my chest. At times I think it was cold related & stress related.
I purchased a box of the tea from Whole Foods and it truly has been like medicine to my body.
After I took it I felt the soothing in my chest and the pain began dissolving away.
It has eucalyptus, fennel, peppermint, and licorice root.
Here’s some short and quick benefits on these herbs!
“Some of the best health benefits of eucalyptus includes its ability to boost respiratory health, strengthen the immune system, and protect skin health.” –organicfacts.net
“…Fennel is useful in respiratory disorders such as congestion, bronchitis, and cough due to the presence of Cineole and Anetol which are expectorant in nature, among their many other virtues. Fennel seeds and powder can help to break up phlegm and prompt loosening of the toxins and buildup of the throat and nasal passages for elimination from the body and quicker recovery from respiratory conditions.” –organicfacts.net
“….Peppermint’s soothing and relaxing properties have placed it at the forefront of herbs found to be especially beneficial when used to support respiratory disorders such as cold, cough, throat irritation, and sinus redness.”-Global Healing Center.com
“One of licorice root’s most well-known uses is to ease congestion from coughs and colds. It acts as an expectorant, helping to loosen and expel phlegm, and it also has a soothing effect on irritated mucous membranes.”-Mercola.com
These ingredients all are so soothing and uplifting.
I love this tea for all these benefits and more.
